About this game
“Treasure of the Lost Kingdom,” made for kids ages 7 to 10, turns your backyard, a park, or a room in the house into the remains of an ancient kingdom wiped off the maps centuries ago. Before it vanished, the last queen hid the kingdom’s crown in a chest and left five clues for anyone who could read them: a mosaic fragment to piece together, a door that opens with the right crest, a fountain whose jets point the way, a staircase with missing steps to rebuild, and a royal seal to pick out from several look-alikes. The kids search, observe, and work things out, hiding spot by hiding spot, until they reach the queen’s chest. Every challenge mixes sharp eyes, logic, and a little moving around, and none of them asks anyone to read a long passage. The book already includes every card and board to cut out, the steps are laid out one at a time, and the game works just as well for a handful of kids as for a big crowd around the party table. There is nothing to improvise on game day: hide the clues, start the adventure, and let the team head for the chest. The guide also offers hiding-spot ideas, backup hints, and an easier version for the youngest players. Every player gets a cut-out crown at the end of the quest.
