About this game

“Treasure of the Ghost Train,” made for kids ages 7 to 10, turns your backyard, a park, or a room in the house into an old country train station, where they say a train disappeared one foggy night, carrying off its engineer’s chest. The train never scared anybody: it just left five clues behind, tucked around the station like forgotten tickets. The kids search, observe, and work things out: pick the right platform from a timetable made of pictures, put the cars of a train in order, follow the tracks of a steam engine, find which railroad lantern still blinks, and crack the code of a signal. Every challenge mixes sharp eyes, logic, and a little moving around, and none of them asks anyone to read a long passage. The book already includes every card and board to cut out, the steps are laid out one at a time, and the game works just as well for a handful of kids as for a big crowd around the party table. There is nothing to improvise on game day: hide the clues, start the adventure, and let the team pull into the chest. The guide also offers hiding-spot ideas, backup hints, and an easier version for younger players. Each player gets a cut-out traveler’s ticket at the end of the quest.
