Treasure of the Haunted Castle

“Treasure of the Haunted Castle,” made for kids ages 7 to 10, turns your house or backyard into an old castle where strange noises have been heard for years: a door that creaks all by itself, footsteps in the attic, a faraway tune. A former caretaker found out that these mysteries were really five clues leading to a forgotten treasure, and each clue is guarded by a different challenge: recognize a recorded sound, follow a draft with a feather, work out a melody by connecting colored notes. The kids solve one mystery after another, clue by clue, until they reach the room where the treasure sleeps. Every challenge mixes sharp eyes and logic, and none of them asks anyone to read a long passage, so even the youngest detective stays in the game. The book already includes every card and board to cut out, the steps are laid out one at a time, and the game works just as well for a handful of kids as for a big crowd around the party table.
