About this game

“Treasure of the Forgotten Temple,” made for kids ages 7 to 10, turns your house or backyard into a stone desert where a temple has been sealed for centuries. An archaeologist explored the place and then disappeared, leaving behind five pieces of his map, and each piece is guarded by a different trap: a floor tile you must not touch, a code carved into the rock, a statue to turn the right way. The kids rebuild the map piece by piece until they uncover the entrance to the secret chamber where the treasure sleeps. Every challenge mixes sharp eyes and logic, and none of them asks anyone to read a long passage, so even the youngest explorer stays in the game. The book already includes every card and board to cut out, the steps are laid out one at a time, and the game works just as well for a handful of kids as for a big crowd around the party table. There is nothing to improvise on game day: hide the map pieces, start the game, and let the team make its way to the treasure. Five challenges carry the quest from the first map piece to the final chest. The guide also offers hiding-spot ideas and backup hints for any team that gets stuck along the way.
