About this game

“The Pharaohs’ Treasure,” made for kids ages 7 to 10, turns your house or backyard into a royal tomb that has just been rediscovered. An ancient scribe hid the royal jewels in five different spots before the tomb was sealed, and each spot is guarded by its own challenge: a papyrus scroll to unroll the right way, a shadow game to piece together, a bead necklace to match by color. The kids follow the clues the scribe left behind, from hiding spot to hiding spot, until they uncover the chest of royal treasures. Every challenge mixes sharp eyes and logic, and none of them asks anyone to read a long passage, so even the youngest explorer stays in the game. The book already includes every card and board to cut out, the steps are laid out one at a time, and the game works just as well for a handful of kids as for a big crowd around the party table. There is nothing to improvise on game day: hide the clues, start the game, and let the team dig its way to the treasure. Five challenges carry the quest from the first hiding spot to the final chest. The guide also offers hiding-spot ideas and backup hints for any team that gets stuck along the way.
