About this game

“The Explorers’ Treasure Hunt,” made for kids ages 7 to 10, turns your house or backyard into the base camp of a world-famous expedition. A legendary society of geographers has hidden five travel journals across five miniature continents, all set up in your yard, and each journal is guarded by a challenge borrowed from real exploring: a compass to set, a climber’s knot to tie, an animal to name from its paw print. The kids follow the expedition from continent to continent until they reach base camp, where the final chest waits. Every challenge mixes sharp eyes, logic, and a little handiness, and none of them asks anyone to read a long passage, so even the youngest explorer stays in the game. The book already includes every card and board to cut out, the steps are laid out one at a time, and the game works just as well for a handful of kids as for a big crowd around the party table. There is nothing to improvise on game day: hide the journals, start the game, and let the team chase the treasure. Five challenges carry the quest from the first journal to the final chest. The guide also offers hiding-spot ideas and backup hints for any team that gets stuck along the way.
