About this game

“The Little Detectives’ Case,” made for kids ages 7 to 10, turns your house, backyard, or a park into the scene of a real investigation. A precious object has gone missing, and five suspects have each left a clue along the way. The kids follow the trail from clue to clue, such as a forgotten handkerchief, a footprint, and a half-burned note, and it leads them from one suspect to the next until the final reveal. Each stop teaches kids a real piece of detective work: comparing handwriting, spotting a clue, checking two statements against each other. It is a clue trail made for moving, observing, and working things out while you walk, without ever going in circles: every clue points clearly to the next one. The book includes the clue cards, portraits of the five suspects, an investigation journal to fill in, and a guide for the grown-up who goes along with the group. It is perfect for a birthday party, a rainy afternoon, or an outing to the park, ending with a final reveal that rewards the whole team of detectives. Five suspects set the pace of the case, each with a different clue and motive, so the final deduction really makes sense instead of being a lucky guess. The guide also offers options for indoors or outdoors and a shorter version for the youngest players.
