About this game

“The Park Mystery,” made for kids ages 6 to 9, turns a park or a public garden into an investigation ground for the afternoon. The groundskeeper’s favorite bench has vanished overnight, and five clues spread through the park, such as a ribbon knotted on a branch, a painted rock, and a message slipped under a pebble, lead the kids from one spot to the next until they reach the bench’s hiding place. Each stop teaches kids to notice a real detail of the scenery: a color that stands out, a shape that shouldn’t be there, a direction to follow. It is a clue trail made for moving, observing, and having fun while you walk, without ever going in circles: every clue points clearly to the next one. The book includes the clue cards, a park map to customize, an investigation journal to fill in, and a guide for the grown-up who goes along with the group. It is perfect for a birthday party at the park, a school outing, or an afternoon with the neighbors, ending with a final discovery that rewards the whole team. Five clues set the pace of the course, each simple enough for the youngest in the group to follow. The guide also offers options for different park sizes and a shorter version for the littlest players.
