About this game
“Professor Wacky’s Riddles,” made for kids ages 7 to 10, invites readers to visit the lab of a very absent-minded inventor who has lost half his things and forgotten the other half. To help him, kids must solve his riddles: find which machine mixed up the colors in his test tubes, guess which object is missing from the shelf, complete a sequence of shapes dreamed up on a scatterbrained morning, and put the steps of an invention recipe in order. Each riddle fits on one page, with a clear question, a picture to study, and everything a kid needs to answer without any outside help. The tone is funny and the situations are absurd, but the logic is always solid: kids laugh first, think second, and feel proud when they crack it. The difficulty climbs gently, from a very simple first challenge to the big final riddle that pulls together every clue scattered through the notebook. The answers are gathered at the back, with the reasoning explained step by step. The notebook can be played alone, in pairs, or with the whole family, with no supplies at all, and the riddles can be done in any order. A Professor’s Assistant badge is included to reward the last challenge solved.
