Monster Riddles

“Monster Riddles,” made for kids ages 7 to 10, gathers a series of short riddles set in a village of goofy monsters: work out which monster is wearing the mismatched socks, complete a sequence of fur, horns, and spots, guess which monster is hiding behind three clues of color and shape, and put the steps of a hungry monster’s giant cake recipe in order. Nothing here is scary: these monsters are round, fuzzy, clumsy, and a little absent-minded, and they need the kids’ help. Each riddle fits on one page, with a clear question, a picture to study, and everything a kid needs to answer without any outside help. There is nothing to hide and nowhere to run around: it is a notebook a child can solve alone, with family, or in a friendly challenge. The difficulty rises gently, from a very simple first clue to the big final riddle that combines every clue to find out which monster ate the last cookie. The answers are gathered at the back, with the reasoning explained step by step. Since each riddle stands on its own, they can be done in any order. A Monster Friend certificate is included to celebrate the last riddle solved.
