About this game

“100 Mystery Riddles,” made for kids ages 8 to 11, gathers one hundred small, independent riddles to solve one at a time, in any order and with no long story to follow. Nested brainteasers, number and pattern sequences, clues to cross-check, one-page mini mysteries: every two-page spread offers a different riddle, designed to be solved in a few minutes. There is nothing to hide and nowhere to run around. It is just a book a child can open anywhere and pick up again any time. The riddles come in ten families of ten, so a kid can choose one mood over another depending on the day. The answers are gathered at the back, in the same order as the riddles, with the reasoning explained in plain words so kids understand an answer instead of just being handed it. This book is as good for a long car ride as for a quiet moment after school, and with so many independent riddles it is made to be spread out over weeks. A blank tracking sheet lets kids check off the riddles they have solved, turning the reading into a long-running personal challenge. One hundred riddles, one hundred chances to think hard.
